We learned today, a health care professional working at Bethel Home tested positive for COVID-19. Efforts to contain the virus are underway including testing a resident with respiratory symptoms. Please continue to visit our website and resource page for updates regarding the test results. Plans are being developed to test all residents and staff living and working at Bethel Home, Eden Meadows, Gabriel’s Villa and Elijah’s Place.

At this time, there are no known or suspected cases of COVID-19 on our campus. Together, we must continue our vigilance to be prepared and respond as required. In the next week or two, following the direction of the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, we expect to begin testing our residents at Bethel Home, Eden Meadows, Gabriel’s Villa and Elijah’s Place. We will also test the staff that work there.

As of April 14, 2020 we received test results for all 12 members of the Eden Meadows team. They were negative. Along the way, we have tested a handful of residents. All of these test results are negative as well. Please know this is the report as of today and may change quickly. We must continue to be vigilant with our actions and rely on one another to be compliant with all requirements.

Last week, a case of COVID-19 was diagnosed at Eden Meadows. The resident was immediately transferred back to the hospital to receive the comprehensive care required to treat the virus. Sadly, he has since passed away.

Proceeding with caution, twelve members of the Eden Meadows team have been tested. Nine of those tests have been read and are negative. We are awaiting results on the remaining three. In addition, some patients whose rooms are in the Eden Rehabilitation wing have been tested. Test results are not expected for a couple more days.

We continue to work with the county health department and are following procedures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention including asking residents to remain in their rooms and apartments and cover their nose and mouth whenever staff enters.

The Miravida Living Emergency Preparedness team continues its daily meetings to monitor and implement the most up to-date recommendations by our trusted partners; Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Winnebago County Health Department. We invite you to refer to our website regularly for the most up-to-date information.

A case of COVID-19, the illness resulting from the novel coronavirus, has been diagnosed in a resident at Eden Meadows. The
resident has been transferred back to the hospital to receive the comprehensive care required to treat the virus. Some of the
members of the Eden Meadows team are symptomatic and are currently in self-quarantine. We are making arrangements for them to be tested.

We have notified public health officials and are following procedures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention. We are taking every step as recommended by authorities to contain the spread. We want to make residents, their
families, our dedicated staff, and our community aware of this situation and reassure everyone that we are actively monitoring
the status of our residents and team.

We are quickly sharing information about this outbreak to help stop the spread of the disease, and prevent and reduce illness
and even death. Miravida Living has witnessed the efforts made by the community to be ‘safer at home’ and given this development, recommend further vigilance.
